Bewildering Stories welcomes...
John C. Conway
John is an attorney who writes science fiction, fantasy, young-adult and romance stories. Many of them have been published in print or on line, and he’s won some awards. One of them is the grand prize in the Yosemite Romance Writers “Smooch” contest in 2012. The contest alone seems to qualify as truly... Bewildering, in the best sense of the term!
“Letters to the Luminiferous Aether” is a rara avis, flash fiction in epistolary mode. It starts with a tip of the hat to the science fiction of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and as such is a kind of companion piece to David Barber’s “Saving the Golden Girl,” also in this issue.
But the story doesn’t stop there, by any means! Mr. & Mrs. Garvey seeem to be witnessing rather startling effects of time dilation, as the correspondence from Earth suggests. The result is, again, truly Bewildering humor.

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, John. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
