Raud Kennedy

Raud lives in Portland, Oregon, where he’s a writer and dog trainer. He’s written a collection of dog fiction, “Gnawing the Bone.”

“Strays” is a kind of modern fable, where a dog acts like a dog but thinks and speaks — at least virtually — like a person. And like all fables, it has a moral. Is not kindness to human “strays” not all the more to be praised because they show kindness to one that is not of their own kind and even more vulnerable than they?
