Bewildering Stories welcomes...
C. A. Sanders
C.A. is a veteran writer of both fiction and non-fiction. His non-fiction has forcused on music history, and he’s been a folk music columnist in several venues. He’s also published fiction widely on the Net, and he’s completed a fantasy novel.
“Masked Man Works at Shop-Rite” falls into the “grocery store” subgenre of the short story. In so mundane a place, weird things are bound to happen, right? In fact, one would have expected The Twilight Zone to make extensive use of the setting if it weren’t so expensive and difficult for filming.
The story wll present alert readers with a conundrum: is “Masked Man” a deluded shop clerk who escapes the tedium of his existence through his imagination? Or is he really Masked Man and is imprisoned in surroundings devoid of inspiration?
