Scathe meic Beorh

Scathe lives on an Atlantic coast somewhere. He is primarily a poet but has written and published extensively in prose.

“Nascent Scream” is a very dark and mysterious story about Quinn, who struggles to pass an elementary biology course taught by an absent but demonically cigarette-smoking instructor and held in what might be a delapidated, haunted building.

Quinn and an unnamed fellow student discover a jar in which a fetus is preserved, and the specimen seems to be unaccountably alive. The other student — a girl — flees, and Quinn is left with the thought that shadowy entities threaten even the worst of families.
