Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Walter Lacey
Walter studied Journalism at the University of Wisconsin. He lives with his family in Massachusetts.
The memoir “Connecting the Dots” tells of a recurring dream that seems to hold special meaning. It is finally analyzed through past-life regression, where the narrator “channels” a young Basque boy killed during the Spanish Civil War.
Bewildering Stories has a rule that a fictional story cannot end with “but it was all a dream” or the equivalent, because dreams are a means of interpreting reality, not reality itself. And in the end, “Connecting the Dots” — though it is nonfiction — shows precisely what the rule means and how it can be best applied.
