Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Christina Ferrari
Christina is a native of Melbourne, Australia and has a graduate degree in English literature. She currently lives in northern Idaho, where she is a high-school English teacher. She has written several short stories and is now working on a novel.
“The Intercity Express” fits two genres: that of “the haunted voyage” and that of “trapped acquaintances.” The teenage boy is the “reasoner” in the story and, in that role, is the only one who can explain what has happened. On the other hand, the chicken’s fate is quite logical; it is, after all, not a human being.

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Christina. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
