Bewildering Stories welcomes...
David Cleden
David lives with his family in Hampshire and commutes to London, where he works as a project manager for a consultancy. He likes to write on the morning train and enjoys playing the guitar on weekends. He has published some fiction and non-fiction.
“Going by the Book” tells the life story of Kenny Hardwick in nine chapters and an Afterword. Kenney notices, at key moments in his life, that a mysterious book seems to keep turning up and playing hide-and-seek with him.
At first the book is mostly a minor nuisance, and Kenny quickly forgets about it. But then he realizes that its title suggests that the book may contain his biography. Is it an astral book? Does it contain everything Kenny has done or will do? Or everything he might have done or might do?
At the end, the book is finally read. Readers will decide for themselves whether the book is a font of occult wisdom or whether it’s merely a pesky crock.
