Douglas Young

Douglas is a native of Athens, Georgia and has taught political science and history at Georgia colleges for more than 27 years. He loves traveling, especially in China. He‘s the faculty advisor to a “Politically Incorrect” club and a Chess club.

“Our Legacy” is a poem combining elegy and didacticism as well as very unconventional rhymes. It has a certain nostalgic value, especially for both the lyrical and moralistic literature of the 19th century.
