Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Gerald Warfield
Gerald has won many prizes for his short stories. In his previous career, he published textbooks on music and investment strategy.
“The Cairn of House Aescritor” falls into the subgenre of the “twisted fairytale.” Readers will detect a somewhat familiar trope: the Emerald Knight, though basically good-hearted, has a vainglorious streak. And readers will surely expect that the his niece will not be as helpless as she’s made out to be. Altogether a fun story about a damsel who is in distress but not at her wits’ end.
