Bryan is a physician practicing internal medicine. His fiction includes experiences and concepts taken from medicine, ecology, and evolutionary biology.

“Celeste’s Secret” features a doctor and Celeste, a love interest the doctor has picked up in a rainstorm. However, when readers finish the story, they’re very liable to ask, “Wait a minute... Aren’t these people zombies?” The author’s interest in ecology and evolutionary biology make the question more reasonable than humorous. “Celeste’s Secret” takes it place in literature along with Godzilla and other “monsters from the deep.”
