Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Karen Gabriel
Karen teaches literature at St. Stephen’s College in Delhi University. She loves the work, because she can speak her mind on any and all topics but in a way that students won’t mind.
“In Memory” may give an example of Karen’s technique. The poem is about a man who has certain qualities at the outset but eventually fades to a “silhouette” under certain circumstances. The poem isn’t hermetic, exactly; rather, its imagery opens the door to readers and invites them to interpret the poem according to their own circumstances or ones they may have witnessed.
