Jessica Klein

Jessica has had serious health problems but has finally managed to earn a college degree. She says her writing is anything but linear.

“Unfamiliar Read” is a prose poem based on associations with the color red and its rhymes or homophones. The poem has a disconcerting conclusion, not least because it changes tenses from present to past.
