Denny Marshall

Denny has published art, poetry and prose fiction in various journals and e-zines.

“Time to Get Off This Rock” is a short poem that might recall the “new frontier” spirit of 20th-century science fiction. It might also echo Prof. Stephen Hawking’s somber advice to escape impending doom. If so, it definitely runs counter to latter-day cynicism about space colonization.

And yet, another Review Editor has proposed an alternative interpretation. If it weren’t for the “stars,” the poem might apply to an amorous frog. Now that’s downright charming!
