Thom Arrell

Thom lives in the Netherlands, where he is a scientist teaching at a university. He’s been writing stories for a long time but has only recently begun submitting them for publication.

“Both Sides of the Story” is an unusual “discovered identity” story. The narrator, Hecket, undergoes a series of interrogations, during which he comes to realize he’s probably a space alien. Two friends of his from university seem to corroborate his theory. But is Hecket really one or does he only think he is? Neither alien nor human seems to make much sense. Readers will enjoy the challenge of resolving the conundrum.
