Sue and I began seriously writing poetry and fiction in our sixties as we approached retirement after long university careers. Bewildering Stories was Sue's first non-scholarly publisher. Seeing her work in Bewildering Stories meant a great deal to her. Thanks to you all.

For beauty in the midst of sorrow, here is an autumn sunset from the hill on which I live, on the day of her passing, in a photograph taken by the remarkable Richard Mallory Allnutt.
