Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Mary-Jean Harris
Mary-Jean has a Master’s degree in theoretical physics from the Perimeter Institute in Waterloo, Ontario. Her short stories have been anthologized prolifically, and many have received notable recognition from Writers of the Future. She has also written a novel.
“Puppet Masters” comes close to borrowing the title of Robert A. Heinlein’s novel from the early 1950’s, which featured an organized invasion by mind-controlling space aliens. Mary-Jean’s story features otherworldly mind-controllers, too, but their “intentions” are all individual; they range from the malevolent to the benign.
Readers will surely enjoy the curious characters of two ghost-busters, Edwin and Louis. And readers will surely admire the author’s finding an unconventional solution to the age-old science fiction trope of an “invasion from outer space.”
