However, Heinlein’s optimism does not extend to Dvonia, where human miners work in what amount to slave-labour conditions for their insect-like employers, the B’Colou. Three friends have a way of buying their way out of blood skall mining: the B’Colous’ corruption. But only one of them will make it to the promised land of Xlinor.
