Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Susanne Thomas
Susanne is a teacher who lives with her family in the state of Wyoming. She is also in a graduate program at the University of Arkansas-Monticello. Her favorites in literature are all things Bewildering: “fantasy, science fiction, speculative fiction, poetry, children’s books, science, and puns.”
“A White Picket Fence” is certain to charm readers with its sympathetic description of a single mother’s family life. It includes a teenage son who seems a little rebellious but actually has wisdom beyond his years. The two younger twins are cleverly accomplished in ways to please their mother.
The story is “bewildering” in the sense that it prompts the readers to ask questions. Readers will be puzzled by the function of the haunted house. Accidents happen in real life but not in literature. And what becomes of the children?
