Mid-Night Ghosts

at 3 a.m. I am not rational
there is something wrong with me
and I don’t know how to fix it
mid-night fears
and haunted memory
win out
sunlight melts night fears
but cannot drink ghosts
because the universe
is action not matter
and the actions of ghosts
still move matters within me
