Kirsten Kaschock

Kirsten teaches at Drexel University and has published several books of poetry as well as a novel.

“Culture Bound” depicts a woefully incompatible pair of scientists at work in an Arctic laboratory, attempting to find a solution to starvation for a crew aboard a distressed spaceship. Their experiments seem to succeed — at least to an extent — for the narrator and her colleague but fail for the astronauts. Readers will surely respond to the story of unreproducible success and unshared emotions.
