Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Jeremy E. Brown
Jeremy works as a teacher and lives with his family near Chicago. He has published previously.
“The Last Librarian” introduces Tancred, a master book-retriever, and his pupil, Ashland, on an expedition to rescue books for their town’s library. The setting is a post-apocalyptic world somewhat akin to that of Walter M. Miller’s A Canticle for Leibowitz. The book-retrievers’ town is subject to terrorism by armed bands, each united by one or another of various ideologies. Both students and teacher have a lot to learn about survival in such a violent world.
