The Search

we meet and in meeting we talk
and in talking we want
and in wanting we need

we need something
and in needing something we hope
and in hoping we search the other

and while searching we will talk
and in talking you will know
that for a moment we can rest

and in resting we will learn
and in learning we will feel
and in feeling we want

and the wanting won’t stop
until we are scared
and in fearing we find
that the fear is what we know
