Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Matthew D. Saeman
Matthew lives with his family in San Diego, where he teaches high-school English. He is also working on an MFA degree in Creative Writing. For Matthew, writing has been an accidentally rediscovered talent. His account of it will let readers smile and thank both his and their lucky stars.
“Dog Eat Dog” is one of those head-scratcher stories that may leave readers pinching themselves just to check on their own tangibility. We can surmise that the child and old man are figments of Jillian’s imagination, but is Jack real? If so, are the people in the TV lounge a hallucination? If they’re real, is Jack really in the bathroom?
But the readers will be most interested in the way in which Jillian’s mind argues with itself in the form of the child and old man. No wonder she wants to hide in her bathtub.

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Matthew. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
