Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Ronald Larsen
Ronald manages a weekly rental vacation home in Santa Rosa, Florida, near the Gulf and, one would note from recent news, right in the path of Hurricane Michael. Ronald has had various careers but has worked mainly in electrical engineering, marketing, and the commputer and automation industries.
“Waiting for the 4:08” will surely strike readers as an ambiguously time-bound story. Up until about 1960, Joshua and his fiancée, Delta, would have been seen as a couple heroically devoted to each other and to the Lost Cause of the Confederacy. Today, readers are more likely to see the story as one of two young lives wasted by a post-medieval war that has become incomprehensible.
