Bewildering Stories welcomes...

Takane Kiuchi

(1896-1951)

Takane Kiuchi earned a degree in English literature at Waseda University. In 1918, he joined the editorial staff of a children’s magazine and contributed numerous short stories. In his extensive career as an editor at various journals, he discovered and encouraged many new authors. After WW2, he wrote several children’s books and worked for the Japan Newspaper Publishers and Editors Association.

A Balloon Seller invites illustration and animation. The fable, with its cheerful moral, will surely stimulate the imagination of young children.

Takane Kiuchi ’s bio sketch can be found here.
