Corporate Vision

I was corporate not once but twice,
pledging loyalty and dedication
as I should.
But more was required.
With the handshake swearing-in
I became beholden to
intransigent practices
and firmly skewed outlooks.
My words self-filtered,
my principles in refuge
required lies unspoken,
ponderous.
