Miriam says she has been writing fantasy stories for many years.

“From Hand to Hand“ is a deceptively complex story. Readers may expect a rather ordinary inspirational tale. It originates with an ancient pagan goddess who is kindhearted and protects human beings from the callous tricks of the other gods. She is punished by being made mortal, but she retains her special powers.

The goddess bequeaths her powers to other women, who are recruited one by one into the program, so to speak. Her spiritual descendants realize that they can do harm as well as good, and they become cautious. But they are liable to forget that divinity in mortal form involves self-sacrifice, not self-indulgence.
