Brandi Oakes

Brandi is originally from California but now lives with her family in New York. She has many favorite authors, including Asimov, Murakami and King. When it comes to writing, she says she likes to let the story tell itself. One can say that it’s a wise strategy to put the characters on stage, stand aside, and let them act out the play.

“The Replacement Decree” will surely touch readers with the account of poor Harry Evers’ life and his last two hours. Meanwhile, readers are challenged to imagine the functioning of a totalitarian society where, in the evenings, citizens are “collected” as involuntary organ “donors.”
