Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Jack D. Harvey
Jack divides his time between homes: one near Albany, New York and a plantation in South Carolina. He has been writing poetry for a long time and has published extensively.
“All My Money Pissed Away” takes its title from the inscription on the sword in the illustration: Al mein Gelt verspilt. The poem is unusual in being an ekphrastic poem about Grimmelshausen’s Melchior Sternfels von Fuchshaim, who was a picaresque wanderer also known as Simplicissimus and the hero of the best-known German novel of the 17th century.

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Jack. We’re looking forward to further poems from ypu!
