Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Nikki Everts
Nikki lives in Guelph, Ontario. She has published a book of poetry and a mystery novel set in Montreal in the fraught year of 1969, when FLQ violence was escalating. She has a small business, Scripted Images, and hosts writing workshops.
“A Life of Crime” will certainly amuse readers with the plight of poor but clever and resourceful Eloise, who is a put-upon grandmother and a would-be author. One may sympathize when Eloise starts shooting out fluorescent lights but, when she does it in a bank, she tends to tax even Canadians’ legendary politeness. And uniforms tend to lose patience with anyone they consider obstreperous. Nonetheless, readers will wish Eloise lots of pencils and paper and a restful four years.

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Nikki. We hope to hear from you again soon and often! And maybe we’ll meet somewhere in town, when we tunnel out from under the snow.
