DL lives in Portland, Oregon, where, he says, the rain keeps him indoors and busy writing. And write he does; DL has published fiction and non-fiction voluminously.

“Magic Nation” accomplishes a difficult feat by reproducing consistently the thought and speech of an eight-year old. The task requires concentration, and making the child interesting and believable requires skill. Readers will stay “on the page” with DL and accompany a little boy who comes to terms with an adult world he is as yet too young to understand.
