Baishampayan Seal

Baishampayan is currently preparing a Master of Science degree in Statistics in Kolkata, India. He has published poetry and flash fiction extensively.

“Questions That Stay” is a story poem that describes a narrator’s ambivalence about his late wife’s kindness to wild animals such as birds. She was a good soul but did not receive the gratitude she was due. The poem implies views of religion and interspecies morality that some will find normal; others, puzzling. Altogether, an intriguing poem.
