Bewildering Stories welcomes...

Melissa Rose Rogers

Melissa lives with her family in Denver, Colorado. She enjoys scuba diving along with board games and cooking. And she has broad tastes in folklore and speculative fiction.

Gattaca Meets Black Swan” borrows the titles of two films and also refers to the role in the ballet Swan Lake. The ballerina Arabella has a big problem: her very nature is illegal and likely to cost her her livelihood.

Readers will have questions, such as: Can genetic engineering really be distinguished from the process of genetics itself, or must determinations be made by what amounts to hearsay? More importantly, readers will have some very pointed questions to ask Arabella’s parents about their motives and priorities. Readers will realize they’re reading a disturbing story about the near future.

Melissa Rose Rogers’s bio sketch can be found here.

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Melissa. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
