P. Aaron Potter

Professor Potter has a Ph.D. from the University of California-Riverside where he is currently on the faculty. His previous employments ranged widely in nature and convinced him, he says, that he was "fit only for a life in letters."

The author insists that “The Alchemists” is not quite a sestina, but readers surely won’t mind. In following the story of “Mefistolese and Pettigrew” — and vice-versa — they will soon learn to admire the intricate rhymes’ effortlessly recounting the haunted alchemists’ serving up hope and despair even in such rare medicine as “the mead of poetry.”
