Johanna Haas

Johanna hails from West Virginia but currently lives in Illinois. She has been a Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies. Her favorite literary genre is folklore, and she has published flash fiction.

“Why We Called the Dog “Stumpy”” will impress readers with West Virginians’ proclivity in citing tales of local “monsters,” which only seem to help promote tourist visits. However, one does not approach something like the Abbagoochie. Even the Martins and the Coys might agree to turn their weapons away from each other and point them at the toothy thing.
