Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
B. K. Mox
BKMox lives in Virginia Beach, where she is a poet, visual artist and great-grandmother. She has degrees in Fine Arts, Education and Interdisciplinary Studies. She also has a certificate for studies in Jungian psychology and philosophy as part of the Fine Arts program. After teaching art in public schools for nine years, she ran a small bookkeeping business. But she has continued painting and has been writing poetry for many years.
“Particulars” might serve as an introduction to an author’s poetry collection. It begins with an author’s “impatience” with “a maze of extraneous details” and then describes in visual and tactile imagery the process by which the poet comes to “capture particulars” and “harvest her tears.”
Of course, such a brief summary can hardly do justice to a work describing the emergence of a creative spirit in literature. Ever since the Odyssey, poets have had their own odysseys, however lengthy or brief they may be.
