Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
Susan Egan
Susan is a former dancer, though non-professional, and “a long-time subscriber to the New York City ballet.” She has had an interest in witchcraft for a long time and visits Salem, Massachusetts every year in October.
“The Witches Dance” has “dance” as a verb in the title, not as a noun. The action is thereby transposed subtly from past to present. And the action in the past was essentially bad governance by people who didn’t know any better. Something similar happens in the story’s dance company.

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Susan. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
