The Most Lamentable Tragedy
of the Witch in the Woods
Once upon a time there lived a witch in a forest. She lived in a house made out of sweetbread with a pancake roof. And the witch was happy.
As so often, the witch was out in the woods gathering fruit. When she came back, she was startled to see that her house had been vandalized. And not only that, the vandals were still on site: two children, still chewing away at the house. Big fat kids.
And the witch became angry and yelled at the children. But the children only looked at her, amazed, and asked her for some milk to go with the sweet bread.
So the witch called the police. And the police came, and took away the children. And the witch stood alone by her house afterwards, wondering what to say to her insurance company.
