Triple Digits, Prizes and Surprises
Yay! Bewildering Stories goes triple digits! Time to celebrate? Wait... we’re always celebrating. This issue, like so many, brings some things to an end and starts others. We rejoice in welcoming new authors, and now that Africa has joined the list of our contributors’ home continents, is the world complete? No, it’s just beginning!
Meanwhile, two reminders:
Second Anniversary favorites:
The second anniversary issue will be number 104. Remember: we need you to nominate your favorite titles from issues 53-60. Unless you tell us your faves, the editors will have to pick theirs, and you may find you’d have preferred something else. Get your votes in now, either by e-mail or by way of the forum. The “book contest”:
The contest — actually, a raffle — is wide open till the end of this issue. Eligible: anyone who sends us a contribution and expresses an interest in the book prize Jerry is offering. How does one express interest besides saying “I want that book”? E-mail us your postal address.Ye Copy Editor is also offering a prize: a gift of a paperback — no hardbacks, sorry — to a contributor whose submission is accepted. Unlike Jerry’s hardback prize, the paperback title will not be announced in advance. The lucky recipient will just have to be surprised!
- And now for something completely different. Does anyone recognize the Issue name? And no, it definitely is SF in origin.
Signed, yer friend, Jerry
