“Stories Change Paths” is a poem in rhymed couplets that suggests that we, the readers, may see “ourselves in two travelers” whose narrative is “not done.” What “story” might it refer to, one wonders. Macbeth? Huckleberry Finn? A Tale of Two Cities? But what is this “life so bored, centred on math / Supplanted by a king’s wandering path”? Hamlet? Whatever, readers wlll see themselves represented in two characters whose story isn’t over yet.
