Verna has published widely in magazines and e-zines, but her favorite genres are those of fantasy. And that raises a question: is Verna’s “The Soul Snare,” in this issue, fantasy? It’s very hard to say. Suppose it is science fiction: wouldn’t that be — as Jason concludes — disconcerting? In any event it is — pardon the expression — food for thought.
