Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Randall Lahrman
Randall hails from San Diego, California, and has ambitions for writing in the horror genre, of which he says he’s a huge fan. He’s already published one story and writes assiduously.
We can see the results of Randall’s painstaking efforts in “Janstein’s Subject,” in this issue. The story has a horror subtext, but it’s misleading: the reader suspects that Janstein is up to no good with the young boy, but at the end we realize that Janstein is really a kind of master teacher and that the story is about the creative experience, where the artist becomes absorbed in his work.

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Randall. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
