Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Val Bonney
Val really deserves credit for perserverance and determination: she has pursued a career as a writer even though “real life” keeps getting in the way. She’s kept afloat by operating a pub in Cornwall — a worthy occupation, Val, if I do say so myself — but has at last landed a job more in line with her inclinations: teaching English as a second language. (In England, it may be a “foreign” language; in Canada, it may be a “second” language, for obvious reasons.)
Val’s flash fiction “Bag Lady,” in issue 224, fits her favorite theme: “stories drawn from the joys and pains of everyday life.” The story ends with a humorous and intriguing last line!
Val’s bio sketch can be found here.
Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Val. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
