Dualta Carolan

Dualta hails from Country Fermanagh, Ireland but has lived and worked in Wales, Dubai, and England. Teaching, Dualta finds, is at the same time frustrating and rewarding. Dualta has published poetry in the Journal of the English Association.

“The Battle of the Buttons” recalls a bittersweet moment of childhood where the participants seem to experience — to reverse an old sports advertising slogan — “the agony of victory and the thrill of defeat.”
