Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Angel Zapata
Angel is a native of New York City but now lives near Augusta, Georgia. He’s published fiction and poetry on line and in print. He also edits “5x5 Fiction,” which features flash fiction in an unusual form.
“Carrion Folk” is flash fiction in the grand style: the story takes the point of view of a young boy whose mother is the victim of domestic violence and who tries to escape with him. The story uses spare but very powerful imagery, and it puts front and center questions that can’t be answered in a few words or even in many news reports and documents in today’s world.
Angel Zapata’s bio sketch can be found here.
Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Angel. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
