Ron J. Cruz
Ron lives in the Sacramento area. He has held many different occupations and currently teaches composition at at Folsom Lake community college. He has published in local newspapers and in several literary journals, and in 2009 he won the prize for short fiction by a graduate student at Sacramento State Universtity.
“Ferris Wheel” is titled after the name of the main character, Steven Ferris, who is undergoing a treatment he expects will cure a fatal illness. Little does he know that the mysterious Dr. Wen will bring his “wheel” full spiral rather than full circle.
