Judy has published several college textbooks and a few short stories. She also volunteers with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

“A Slice of Life” tells how Stanley is injured in a near-fatal autmobile accident. A heart transplant gives him an unexpected view into the life and death of the donor. The premise is well known to science fiction, but the structure is very avant-garde; the sequence of events do not seem to match the internal chronology of the story. Readers will find it a pleasant challenge to figure out what happens to whom and when!
