Shannon Snyder

Shannon hails from the colorful region of the Big Horn Mountains, in Wyoming. She has since moved to Iowa, where she is has been studying for a career in medicine. She loves to travel, and her favorite reading is mystery and science fiction.

“The Tragedy of the Species” raises a question or two: what is the tragedy, and of what species, exactly? In any event, the story recounts a bittersweet family drama that takes place in a remote, backwoods setting. Now, if it weren’t for those pesky space aliens... As we always say: “Things would be a lot simpler if they weren’t so complicated.”
