Tree of Despair

In “Tree of Despair,” I drew inspiration from a bunch of films depicting symbolic, lone trees struggling to survive in a land of nothingness. Films such as Sleepy Hollow and Conan the Barbarian (tree of woe) are main sources of inspiration. I envisioned the tree in a poisonous bog bearing the burden of the world’s suffering on its branches.
