Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Pascal Inard
Pascal lives with his family in Australia, to which his parents immigrated from France. He has written extensively in both French and English, starting with novels and working down to short stories.
“Bad Boy” starts out as a story somewhat in the vein of Ray Bradbury’s Martian Chronicles, where Mars is the setting of moral tales and closely resembles the planet Earth.
In “Bad Boy,” the captain of an interstellar exploration team, Geoffrey, lands on a planet that eerily resembles Australia. And it is inhabited by the world-creating spirit of Geoffrey’s mother, who vanished mysteriously many years before. Geoffrey must convince his mother that he has reformed and is no longer a wayward youth. The moral: just remember to do as Mama says; one does not want to vex a world-creating Greek goddess.
